Critical Creative Reflection Blog

Critical Creative Reflection How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? By focusing on the effects of not being a good friend and purposefully leaving out one individual, my product not only subverts popular beliefs about friendship but also openly challenges the dominant narrative. This deliberate break from the way friendships are typically portrayed in the media, which frequently emphasizes strong, supporting relationships, is a provocative departure that questions social norms. It examines the frequently disregarded negative aspects of friendships in an unvarnished manner, challenging the widespread misconception that friends always genuinely look out for one another's best interests. My product explores the less savory sides of friendships, which is an unknown terrain in a world where tales of loyalty and togetherness are commonplace. By highlighting the less positive aspects of these relationships, it compels viewer...

Hello Loves! Here is my finished music video! I hope you enjoy!

Production Blog: Final Blog!

Rewarding myself to food once I finished!      Hello Loves! Welcome to our music video's last blog post. Are they all excited? I am aware of this. I made the decision to finish the editing process entirely with my group. So that we can coordinate, I texted someone in our group chat. When everyone was in agreement, we started working. Everyone gathered around and got to work on the editing. I took a seat on the couch and got ready to start. I started by opening Capcut to view the final cut. Although the video has a nice appearance, it lacks a certain musical appeal. I started adding the tune after seeing it through a few times. To ensure that the audio overlapped perfectly, I had to first match it to every clip. Sound editing is like applying fairy dust to our film. This is so exciting to watch come all together! These amazing song are making our music video come to life. While creating this video, I vibing to the song. It was incredible to be able to...

Production Blog: Work, Work, and More Work.

Work..      Hello Loves. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get as much done as I would like this weekend. I just so happened to work every day this past weekend. I was unable to make time to meet with my group as a result of this. It can be mentally and physically draining to work all weekend. I just did not have the energy or clarity of mind to work on your assignment after such a hectic schedule. I talked to them about my work schedule and how my weekend obligations may affect the project's deadline. To lessen the project's delays, I was able to suggest fixes or different approaches. This last weekend was quite exhausting in addition to being stressful. My well-being and mental health have been impacted by the stress of handling a demanding workload during the weekend. so it was really exhausting. I did, however, see the importance of being able to balance my many jobs. In addition to studying, but also working, and juggling both at the same time. ...

Production Blog: Confusion or Editing?

Image
The tutorial that helped me!      Hello Loves! Welcome back! As I indicated earlier in the day, editing will begin. I made the decision with my group that Zoe, Mia, and I would be the focal points of the music video. Even though Jenna claimed she would handle the most of the editing, we would all still pitch in. We arrived at a decision regarding the distribution of the editing tasks. The rest of us will complete the preliminary edits, while Jenna will handle the final round. When my group and I got together, we discussed how to divide up the editing. I would work on the audio while the others in the group worked on the video. I started by opening Capcut and adding our music video to the application. Make two different tracks in your editing program's timeline: one for audio and one for video. Put the music track in the audio track and the video footage in the video track to organize your content. I then synchronized the music and video by playing them both at once...

Production Blog: Filming Complete!

Image
This is how the beach looked yesterday!      Hello My Loves! What wonderful news to announce. We were able to finish filming yesterday. This is a huge advancement toward the completion of our music video. After school, I had to stay until four o'clock at my house to meet with my group. I then took us to the beach once we had changed and gotten the props. Undoubtedly, one minor inconvenience was the wind; South Florida has experienced really high winds lately. To my amazement, we were able to utilize the wind's advantages for our music video. providing the surroundings and the scenes a lot more personality. I started acting out the scenes with my group. Filming began as soon as we were comfortable with the scenarios themselves. We started by going through the different scenes—I won't give too much away to avoid giving away any plot points of the music video. I did feel a little uncomfortable during the filming process; perhaps I'm si...

Production Blog: Finally a New Beginning!

Food to fuel the brain!      Hello Loves! Coming from my last blog you guys would know how I wished we were able to start filming already. However my wish finally came true yesterday. During school yesterday I threw out the idea of my group and I to starting to film. A couple hours later and a couple tacos later, there we were! After disscusing our plan, my group and I started the filming process. For the music video most of the clips are going to need to be recorded by the beach. The group came into an agreement that the beach scenes would be filmed another day due to the weather in Florida these past few days. It has been very cold because of the sudden cold fronts. The group understood this because none of us would enter the water and film in the chilly surroundings. Thus, today would only be used to shoot the indoor sequences. The filming started as soon as everyone returned home. I removed the objects and set up the set for the opening scenes. Thus, we just sta...
