  • Song-and-Dance Sequences: Featuring wonderfully choreographed song-and-dance moments, the movie honors the musical tradition. Both the opening highway scene and the observatory section are engrossing and expertly done.
  • Romantic Storyline: "La La Land" tells a story of love between its leads, much like many musicals do. It adds a bittersweet touch and plays with the clichés of a classic love narrative, making it more sympathetic and realistic.
  • Homage to legendary Musicals: With its vivid color scheme, musical numbers, and references to legendary movies from the past, it pays homage to classic Hollywood musicals.

Elements (Conventions) of the Drama Genre in "La La Land" that Did Not Appeal to Me:

  • Predictability: Those who are familiar with romantic film plots may find the story's conclusion predictable as it adheres to several well-known romantic clichés. 
  • Balancing Act: Despite the film's impressive integration of romantic and musical aspects, some viewers may find that the two are occasionally not equally balanced.

Planning Blog: Preparing For Our Music Video!

Song Title: Stitches by Shawn Mendez  Props: Since our location will be at the beach, we'll need the basic beach essentials. This includes gears such as towels, Backpacks, water bottles, glasses, phones, sunscreen and a floaty. These props will be used to give the usual feel of a trip to the beach with friends. All of these will be carried on hand or on our bodies as we navigate towards the location. Location: Fort Lauderdale Beach is the desired location. If nothing goes wrong of course. If not Lauderdale By the Sea is our second beach beach my group and I will film at. (Hopefully nothing happens) Schedule: Sunset, around 6 Pm. On weekends only since we have school and work schooldays. Going For the sunset will be a lot easier with no sun in our faces. The sunset sky is also a way better background since it's pretty. Production Blog: Editing!

Watching tutorials! Hi there, lovelies! I began working on the joint editing of all my scenes today. Since I completed my most recent project, I have not edited anything. To renew myself, I thought it would be best to watch a few videos on YouTube. Consequently, I watched films for about thirty minutes. After finishing that, I launched Capcut. My preferred editing software is Capcut. since it's free and I feel totally at ease using it. I spent around five hours editing in all. This is also a result of my tendency to be choosy. So I was finally done once it was as I wanted it. That editing was really striking. It felt so good to be on board. I went so far as to treat myself. I napped after making tacos. But I watched my Final Task again when I woke up. As it happens, the slumber inspired me to edit more. I spent an additional two hours editing, but I'm now satisfied with the outcome.
